The Acting Director, Mrs Eleonora Nikolova

 

  

Eleonora Nikolova was appointed as acting Director of CPCCOC with a decision by the government of December 10th 2014.

She is born on August 30th in Rousse. She received her legal education at Sofia University.

She has been Chairman of the District Court in Rousse. From 1992 to 1994 has been District Attorney of Rousse. During the period 1994-2002 was a lawyer at the Bar Association.

She has been Chairman of women's Lions Club in Rousse.

In 2002, wins the partial local elections in Rousse as a candidate from a civil group "Professionals for prosperity of Rousse". A year later, wins a landslide victory in the first round of the regular local elections. In the parliamentary elections in 2005 is elected as an MP from the list of the UDF. During 2007, leaves the UDF and becomes an independent MP. In the 40th National Assembly participates in the work of the Committee on Legal Affairs and the Anti-corruption Committee.

Eleonora Nikolova is co-founder of the association "European Democratic Way", and as such in 2009 she participates in elections as a majoritarian candidate for MP from Pazardzhik. She is Deputy Chairman of the United People's Party until the beginning of 2011.

On February 17th 2011 was appointed as Deputy Director of the Center for Prevention and Countering Corruption and Organized Crime, established at Council of Ministers. From April 24th 2012 to December 11th 2013 is Acting Director of the Center.

From December 11th 2013 to December 10th 2014 is Deputy Director of CPCCOC.
